yes, all in one day

this afternoon was the leyla jouvana 3 hour shimmy workshop
( workshop musings ). 
then ran home to get ready for tonight's gigs.
for some reason, i've been listening to a lot of opera lately.  which is unusual because i haven't since i stopped ballet years ago. 

tonight, one of the patrons spontaneously burst into an operatic serenade in the middle of my second set.

another first tonight, i danced with a dog.  ( the dog show )
oh, i almost forgot, during the first set a little girl got up and busted out some top quality ballet...during a greek song.  and one of the patrons offhandedly mentioned a friend of hers is a belly dancer in southern spain.  i will try to meet up with her when we go in november. cool!

it was truly a talented and eclectic crowd tonight.  these are the moments that make giging worth all the effort :)
